Datasoft Solutions is the provider of Worktime Studio, a Microsoft Windows software application used by computer users in many walks of life to manage, organize, and track their time, projects, workload, notes and ideas.
The Challenge
Datasoft solutions was entering into a highly competitive software market with an idea for a product which offered functionality not found in its competitor's products. We needed a 3rd party component platform which would allow us to implement our unique ideas and functionality, and provide a cutting edge look for our product, in order to compete in our market.
Previously, we had spent hundreds of hours developing our own custom gui components, only to find out they were no match for those already in today's market, and spending even more time debugging issues with our in-house software components when small changes were made to them.
We had heard that 3rd party components were available for developers like us, but had never taken the time to consider them as a viable solution. When we did take the time, we determined that we had been trying to re-invent the wheel, and that our time would be so much better spent on developing the product itself, not the components used by the product.
